The Boogie Woogie is a swingy version of piano-based blues. It was born in the upbeat Harlem rent parties of the 1920s. Communities would get together and dance the night away. That fun spirit is still alive and well. This video is from the International Boogie Woogie Festival in Switzerland.

Silvan Zingg mans the piano. But the real stars are William Mauvais and Maeva Truntzer. These two are world-champion Boogie Woogie dancers. This is some seriously fancy footwork. And it is a blast to watch. Youll want to get up and boogie, too.
