Twitter Marketing: Here Are 8 Simple Steps

One of the new social networking sites is Twitter. What they do is allow users to send text style message between each other. The messages are called tweets. The concept of a tweet is where each person that follows or subscribes to the authors twitter account receives all the tweets that they do. So when you are promoting something and you send out a tweet the more people that read it and action on it the more success you will have. That is why twitter is thought to be such a good way to reach people in the social networking marketing place.

Just having followers does not really help you much if the people do not respond to your tweets. If you had people following you that were interested in mountain climbing you were advertising baby products you will not get much attention. In fact you will get people unfollowing you because they do not like what you are saying. So the numbers themselves are meaningless unless they are of the correct target market.

So how do you find the right target market on twitter. One technique is to find prominent people in your market. This could be competitors or well known celebrities of sort in the same field. Once you locate their profile on twitter you would just follow the people that are following them. Most likley this is your target market. You target audience for your tweets. So follow those people or the people that the celebrity is following. That is pretty much it.

From here the process if fairly straight forward once you understand the above logic or process. Below is the step by step process to follow:

1. Create your profile in a very professional looking way. One that will attract people.

2. Do some research and find out the major players in your market or your competitors.

3. Visit the profile of that particular person who is in the same market as you.

4. Click on his followers. After a couple of days, you will notice that the people you follow from his account are also following you.

5. Now unfollow the people who do not follow you back. Then you can follow more people.

6. Post tweets that would be interesting to your followers.

7. Once you have established your profile and your relationships, it is now time for you to promote your business and link back your followers to your desire page.

8. Repeat the process and remember to be consistent so they are used to hearing from you.

The steps are very straight forward and easy to understand. So when you are able to master this, then you will be able to attracts large numbers of followers who are also your target audience. Which is exactly what you are looking to do. And again, be constant when it comes to managing your account.
